MS PATIENCE KIDIGNA APPOINTED FIRST WOMEN'S COMMISSIONER OF KWAPONG HALL

The appointment of Ms Patience Kidigna Kidigna as the first women's commissioner in the history of the Alexander Adum Kwapong Hall has been received with great enthusiasm by students and staff of the Hall. The decision by Mr Samuel Ackom, the JCR President of the Kwapong Hall, to appoint Ms Patience, was a bold and commendable one

Ms Patience, who hails from the savanna region of Ghana, is a level 400 student majoring in Geography and Resource Development and Minoring in Economics. She is currently serving as the General Secretary for the Geography and Resource Development Students Association (GREDSA).

The appointment of Ms Patience Kidigna as the first women's commissioner of the Alexander Adum Kwapong Hall is a significant milestone in the history of the Hall and the University of Ghana at large. It represents a significant step towards gender equality and the empowerment of women in leadership positions. The appointment of Ms Patience is a clear indication that the University of Ghana is committed to promoting gender equality and empowering women to take up leadership roles in all spheres of society.

As the first women's commissioner of the Hall, Ms Patience will be responsible for championing the interests of female students and promoting gender equality in the Hall.

Ms Patience's educational background and leadership experience also make her well-suited for the position of women's commissioner. Her major in Geography and Resource Development and minor in Economics give her a strong foundation in understanding the socio-economic and environmental issues facing the University of Ghana community. 

Her role as the General Secretary of GREDSA also demonstrates her ability to manage and coordinate activities, and her experience as the Assistant Girl's Prefect and Senior Girl’s prefect at Agape International School at Salaga respectively shows her leadership potential.

Ms Patience is a Christian and a proud member of the Church of Christ. Her faith, coupled with her strong moral values, will enable her to serve the University of Ghana community with integrity, humility, and compassion. As the first women's commissioner of the Alexander Adum Kwapong Hall, Ms Patience will be a role model to other young women in the University of Ghana, inspiring them to believe in themselves and pursue their dreams.
