Dear students of the University of Ghana,
On behalf of SKO BUREAU, I would like to extend our warmest wishes to you as you commence your end of First Semester Exams on TUESDAY, APRIL 4, 2023.

We understand that these exams are being conducted both online and onsite, and we urge you to be punctual and regular in attending your exam halls. We also want to remind you to avoid any form of examination malpractice.
While invigilators will be present at the exam venues, it is important to remember that there are sophisticated CCTV CAMERAS in all examination halls. Therefore, we advise you to stay within the bounds of ethical behavior and not engage in any activity that may compromise the integrity of your exams.
To help you familiarize yourself with your exam venue, SKO BUREAU will be providing Daily Bulletins of Examination Venues and Times. We hope that this will help alleviate any anxiety you may have about finding your exam hall.
As you sit for your exams, remember that it takes wisdom to know what to do, skill in how to do it, and success to actually do it. Believe in yourself and give it your best. With hard work and dedication, you can achieve the success that you deserve.
In conclusion, we wish you all-around success in your end of first semester exams. We hope that you will approach these exams with confidence, diligence, and integrity. We look forward to hearing about your success in the near future.
Good luck!
Sincerely,
Samuel Kwame Owusu
(CEO, SKO BUREAU)
INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATES AND EXAMINATION MALPRACTICE OR OFFENCE
I wish to remind all candidates of the seriousness with which the Academic Board deals with cases of Examination Malpractice which come to its attention. In the recent past, several students have either been expelled or rusticated from the University for periods ranging from two to six semesters for their involvement in various forms of malpractice in University examinations. Some of the common offences are the following:
- Carrying bags, notebooks and other unauthorized materials to the Examination Hall.
- Carrying mobile/cellular phones to the examination hall.
- Consulting notebooks in toilets/washrooms during examinations.
- Putting up insulting behaviour to Examination Officers in and around the Examination Center.
- Taking away answer booklets, used or unused from the Examination Hall.
- Impersonating in University Examinations.
- Tearing a piece or sheet from an examination booklet
These and many more offences are avoidable if university students conduct themselves in the examination process in a manner that befits their intellectual achievements.
Full details of University Examinations - Instructions to Candidates and Examination Malpractice or Offence can be found on pages 43 – 46 of the Regulations for Junior Members
Additionally, the University have circulated extracts from these regulations for the attention of all students and these have been posted at the Distance Education website: www.ug.edu.gh/distance and on the Regional Learning Centres Notice Boards
I urge students to be very conversant with all the rules and regulations governing University examinations since infringement of the rules carries very severe sanctions
