THE UNIVERSITY OF GHANA IS SET TO HOST ITS THIRD UG@S75 PUBLIC LECTURE TOMORROW

The University of Ghana is set to host its third @ #UGIS75 public lecture tomorrow, Thursday, April 6, 2023, on Ghana's economy is a significant event that promises to be an engaging and informative discussion of national importance. The public lecture will focus on the topic "Restructuring the Economy: The Need for a Paradigm Shift", and will be the third in a series of lectures aimed at engaging the public on topical issues of national concern

The lecture promises to be an intellectually stimulating dialogue that will influence policy decisions within the Ghanaian economy. The keynote speaker and distinguished discussants will provide valuable insights and perspectives on how to drive economic growth and development in Ghana

The University of Ghana is proud to host this public lecture as part of its 75th-anniversary celebrations, and it demonstrates the university's commitment to promoting academic discourse and engagement with national issues. Dr Philip Abradu-Otoo, Director of Research, Bank of Ghana, and Dr Priscilla Twumasi Baffour, Senior Lecturer, Department of Economics, University of Ghana, will be the discussants. The event will be moderated by Mr Bernard Avle, General Manager, Citi FM & Citi TV, and chaired by Ms Abena Amoah, Managing Director, Ghana Stock Exchange. The event will be hosted by Prof. Nana Aba Appiah Amfo, Vice-Chancellor, the University of Ghana.

Dr Yao Grahamhas has an impressive track record in advocating for social and economic justice in Africa, and his participation in this event will be a significant highlight. The discussants, Dr Philip Abradu-Otoo and Dr Priscilla Twumasi Baffour bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise in economics, banking, and finance, and their contributions will add immense value to the discussion.

SAMUEL ACKOM ELECTED AS THE JCR PRESIDENT OF ALEXANDER ADUM KWAPONG HALL

 Source: Samuel K. Owusu It has been four years now since the famous among all the diaspora halls, the Alexander Adum Kwapong Hall, had an election.
