Fee Payment Information: University Of Ghana Approved Banks For Fee Collection For Ghanaian Students

Dear, University of Ghana Students, We would like to emphasize the importance of paying your academic and residential fees through the University of Ghana-approved banks. By adhering to this process, you can avoid any delays or complications in your registration, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free start to the academic year. Students must at least pay the minimum required, fees before they will be allowed to undertake the Academic and Residential Registration

Timely payment of fees is crucial for several reasons. Firstly, it enables the university to efficiently process your payments and update your financial records. This, in turn, facilitates the completion of your registration, allowing you to secure your desired courses and accommodation promptly. By paying through the approved banks, you can be confident that your payments will be accurately recorded and reflected in your account.

Secondly, paying your fees on time helps you avoid unnecessary stress and inconvenience. Delays in fee payment can result in administrative hurdles and potential disruptions to your academic schedule. By fulfilling your financial obligations promptly, you can focus on your studies, engage in extracurricular activities, and make the most of the opportunities available to you at the University of Ghana.


 A. Students must take note of the following when making payments: 

  • Only pay fees at the University of Ghana APPROVED BANKS (listed below).
  • All deposits at the bank should be made with a FEE DEPOSIT SLIP.
  • All deposits at the bank should be made with CASH ONLY.
  • Always ensure the STUDENT INDEX NUMBER and NAMES are correctly quoted. 
  • Always ensure the AMOUNT quoted on the receipt is the correct amount paid. 
  • Ensure the account name is that of the UNIVERSITY OF GHANA.
  • Keep Payments by CHEQUE (NO PERSONAL CHEQUES) can be made at the University’s Cash Office ONLY.

 

B. Student fees can be paid using any of the following mediums: 

  • At the bank
  • Online using Visa card, Mastercard or Mobile Money (MTN and Vodafone) - https://sts.ug.edu.gh/ugpay 
  • Cheques (payable only at the University of Ghana Cash Office)
