As an institution committed to promoting excellence and equal access to education, the University of Ghana recognizes the role education plays in the development of a country and has implemented various policies and scholarship opportunities to support students who face financial challenges

Education is a vital tool for personal and societal growth, but the increasing cost of education in some parts of the world can create barriers for brilliant yet needy students who are unable to finance their education. To address this issue, the University of Ghana collaborates with the Students Financial Aid Office (SFAO) to offer the UG Sponsorship Scheme every year. This scheme is an opportunity for financially disadvantaged but academically talented students to pursue their education without the added burden of tuition fees.

By collaborating with the SFAO, the University of Ghana is able to identify and support students who demonstrate exceptional academic potential but lack the means to fully fund their education. The University of Ghana reaffirms its commitment to promoting equity, justice, and equal access to quality education through this scholarship scheme.
